CHIP+ ( Children in the Highlands Information Point ) gives information, support and advice to the families and carers of children and young people with additional support needs, and to professionals working with them.
We offer a free, friendly and confidential service throughout Highland.
We can be contacted by phone, e-mail, letter or by dropping in to our main office.
CHIP+ provides:
* A wide range of up-to-date information on medical conditions, education, funding, equipment & holidays etc. If we don't know the answer we'll try to find it for you or put you in touch with someone who can help.
* Information Packs for Parents and Carers and a range of information sheets.
* A free lending library with a wide range of resources.
* A free quarterly newsletter.
* Outreach events for families & professionals who work with them.
* We can give advice on issues relating to the Education (Additional Support for Learning)(Scotland) Act 2004 and as amended 2009 and offer support to parents and carers attending school meetings.
